Ich Liebe Pocky

I discovered this gem of a snack at the Sushi bar on campus a couple of years ago and instantly fell in love. Simple chocolate or strawberry cream covered biscuit sticks go great with coffee, tea, or by themselves. Then when the Sushi bar changed managers, the Pocky's disappeared. I was devastated! Then I found them at a Border's in the airport but couldn't get to them as often as I liked. Now they are available at the local Farmer's Market (Veggie/Fruit grocery near my apartment)!! I am so excited that I can barely contain myself! Sure, they can be fattening but it isn't like I'm eating them everyday. Anyway, if you want to try them you'll have to look hard for them sometimes. It's a Japanese treat that isn't available everywhere in the U.S.


I find it amusing that the dark chocolate ones are called "Men's Pocky." I love dark chocolate!!
