I Missed the Memo

Apparently it's ok to deny a person equal rights if you let the people vote on it. Despite the fact that the constitution says that "all men are created equal." I mean, it can't get any clearer than that. Apparently I didn't get the memo and Maine did?? Maine, you disappoint me. Please separate yourself from the States and go drift off into the Northern Atlantic and freeze your bums off...because you don't deserve equal rights either.

Marriage is Love and is for EVERYONE

Marriage is love.

Yep. I was so shocked at Maine. I mean, didn't Iowa legalize it? I mean, seriously, Iowa. For shame, Maine.

Regarding my own post, I'll put it like this. I try to be a woman of integrity. My marriage makes me happy and I'm not comfortable denying that of anyone else. So I vote "aye". I'm pro-choice, but I cannot stand ART. However, I'm happy as a mother and I wouldn't deny it of any other woman. If fertility treatment comes under attack, abortion will come next, and I have to bite the moral bullet and fight for everyone's rights, even when I don't agree. It's just the right thing to do. I really wish these anti-gay marriage people would get over themselves like I've had to do.
